What Kind Of Heavy Metal Music That Normie Would Enjoy It?

There's a people ask "What kind heavy metal music you think normie like me could enjoy it?".

Frankly, i have no idea how to suggest with a simple word. There are more than 10 subgenres for heavy metal. Not all of them are on my interest list. For example, i'm not interested in glam, thrash, power, groove, black, industrial and NU metal. Not that i hate 'em, but that kind of music simply don't match my taste. I'm more to death, metalcore, deathcore and doom metal. This all i make it as a top priority. So, even if i suggest some of my favorite genre or band, i don't think you may like it as i did.

What could i suggest you rookie is listen the "mainstream" band to test it out. Not that i say the "mainstream" one is a kid tier, but because its popularity potentially inspire you to become metalhead or at least heavy metal fan.

For example, for thrash metal, try to listen the big four, which is Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth. If you love boomer band, try to listen the glam/hair/pop metal band suh as Scorpions, Whitesnake and Motley crue. If you want to try NU metal, then the big three is Korn, Limp Bizkit and Slipknot, some metalhead community include Linkin Park as NU metal band. For metalore, i think Avenged Sevenfold and the emo band is suit. Or else try listen to Iron Maiden, System Of A Down or something. Take a survey which one will match for your taste.

Lemme tell you, i used to be just like other people. Despising the heavy metal and discredit their song for being misunderstanding that kind of music. After i being exposed so much and so long with hardcore music like Breaking Benjamin and rock or hardrock emo or punk music, gradually, i start to crave for more extreme kind of music. Eventually, i become acquianted with metal music from Mushroomhead, Whitechapel, Rammestein, Arch Enemy and many more.

I'm not becoming metalhead by all of sudden or coincidence. It's a gradual process. If the metal is being too heavy for you, start with the softer one.
